Hello World,
Today a quickie, with three recent acquisitions. Two “originals” (is there any thing that really is original, may I ask) and one clone. All three are titanium framelocks, and come in different hues of blue. Very dark and roughly stonewashed for the Jeans, lighter and with a smoother stonewash for the Vouking, and finally a light grey blue with just a smooth beadblast for the Nimo.
These knives also differ in their constructions. Free flowing open back for the Vouking. Long and nice backspacer for the Jean and integral construction for the Nimo. Integral means that instead of being made of two (or three when counting the backspacer) parts, the handle is a single block of titanium which then gets sculpted/machined/hollowed to create the handle. A much more difficult, material intensive, and therefore costly method.
All three are very smooth, but the Vouking has a strong detent (and flips great). The Jeans is a very very smooth piece, which flips and falls back almost effortlessly. The Nimo is yet again on an other plane: it’s ultra smooth, but not a flipper and gets deployed with the two “thumbstuds” on the side of the blade, made of the same blue anodised titanium as the body.
Blade also differ in significant manners. The Vouking has a small, simple piece of full flat ground 12C27N blade. The Jeans has a semi-asymetric (full flat ground on both sides but only one side has the blood-groove) large “Persian” style piece of D2. And finally the Nimo has a slender kwaiken style blade with a more complex ground, in Austrian made M390 steel.
So all these three knives are very different. But they’re all classy, great to EDC, and most importantly… blue!
Freedom!
Approximate cost of these three knives?

Yes Aliexpress and/or DHgate… The thing is research is quite ineffective on these and you have a better chance by following some “reputed” sellers and seeing when new stuff arrives…
